Catt Sadler details facelift at age 48: I give ‘zero f—ks what people think’

Catt Sadler isn’t afraid to get candid about going under the knife.

The former “E! News” host opened up to Glamour about her recent plastic surgery, revealing that she underwent a facelift, neck lift and blepharoplasty (also known as an eye lift) at age 48.

Sadler said that while she’d “done injectables” like Botox and Xeomin along with “a little bit of filler, over time,” she’d “never done anything surgically” to her face prior to the trio of major procedures.

Since she was still bothered by the “jowly sagginess” she saw in the mirror, Sadler booked a consultation with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Steve Kim, who told her there was “no better time” to get a facelift to ensure more “natural” results and a better recovery, despite her relatively young age.

“It’s not like I did it because I can’t get a job,” Sadler said. “It’s not that I did it because I want my boyfriend to think I look 35. None of that was a consideration. It was more about looking in the mirror and feeling good. How I feel.”

The “It Sure Is A Beautiful Day” podcast host shared photos of the entire painful (and expensive) process, which involved a several-week recovery period; Sadler had to stick to an all-liquid diet during the initial week post-surgery.

“I have, I think, a really high pain tolerance. I pushed out two kids. I love tattoos. I’m not afraid of pain. But I was really miserable that first week. Really miserable,” she admitted.

She said Dr. Kim typically charges $30,000 to $40,000 for the three procedures she underwent, though she got a “sizable discount” for sharing her experience and photos after the fact.

And while the mom of two said she informed her sons, boyfriend, friends, family and managers about her decision prior to going under the knife, the star didn’t feel any “societal pressure” to get cosmetic surgery.

“I’m kind of past needing the endorsement of others to conduct my life. I’m telling you, that’s one of the better parts of the aging process, is you do know yourself more and you do make choices for yourself and what’s right for you without seeking the approval of everybody else,” she said.

What’s more, Sadler knew from the start that she wanted to share her story with others.

“I was like, What are people going to think? Who’s going to judge me? But I think one of the best parts about getting older is giving zero f—ks what people think of you,” she said.

“I was like, Why not be transparent? Why not inform women about what it can be like?”
